Hi Everyone!

We hope you've all been enjoying the long weekend over Easter.

While you're recharging the batteries, we thought it would be a great time for our April community update, and we're excited to share with you some of the latest developments happening on the platform.

First up, we're excited to report that our Perth Design Week event titled "The Future of Work" was a smashing success. The sold out event was co-curated by the Design Institute of Australia and the AIA's Emerging Architects and Graduate Network and featured engaging discussions and insights from industry professionals in architecture and design. The line-up included chair of the Architects Board of Western Australia Isla McRobbie, DIA national President Gavin Campbell, REZEN Director Zennifer Bowring, DesignPAPER Partner David Rey, HASSELL Senior Associate Polly Gee, and Spacecubed COO Ophelie Cutier.

We were thrilled to see so many talented designers gathered at the event, and the positive feedback from our attendees blew us away! Events like these are critical for building connections, sharing knowledge, and driving innovation, and we're committed to making them even bigger and better in the future.

Our next event will be held in Melbourne, so stay tuned for more information on that. We're committed to bringing together designers, employers, and clients from all over Australia to share knowledge, network, and foster the growth of the design industry.

In other news, we recently deployed a few updates, which you may have already discovered, for switching between user types, or shortlisting prospective candidates. We've also been working hard in the background on a number of new features that are planned for deployment towards the end of April.

New Toggle for User Type

We're excited to introduce a new feature that now allows users to switch between user types. Whether you're a client, employer, or designer, you can now easily toggle between profiles, making it easier to manage multiple account types and stay organised.

  • You can access this new feature in the user profile menu which located in the top right of the header. This feature is only available to PRO users at this stage.
  • We recommend that you switch user types while using the desktop version of the webapp and reload the page to ensure all features are functioning properly.

New Shortlisting Tool for Employers

The number one requested feature by employers for March has been more filtering and shortlisting capabilities. The network is growing exponentially, which means the number of applicants per job ad is also increasing. Along with the screening questions, employers now have an effective filtering feature to help identify suitable candidates.

  • When viewing prospective candidates on your employer dashboard, employers can select the thumbs up and thumbs down feature to sort candidates that are suitable.
  • You can then use the filter tab to select which group of candidates you would like to view.

Bug Fixes

We've also addressed several bugs that were affecting file uploads, email alerts, and instant messaging. We take these issues seriously and have made it a priority to ensure that our platform is always running smoothly for our users. If you identify any bugs on the platform, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. support@co-architecture.com

Looking ahead to April-May, we're excited to announce upcoming features around e-learning resources and micro-courses designed to help upskill, reskill, or cross-skill our members in their career or professional development journey. Our team is hard at work developing new resources to help our users continue to learn and grow, so keep an eye out for more updates on this in the coming months.

Thanks for being a part of our community, and as always, we appreciate your feedback and suggestions on how we can continue to improve our platform.
