Tasmania is rapidly emerging as the go to destination in Australia for luxury and secluded escapes, and we're thrilled to unveil one of the latest additions.

Candlebark Ridge is an off-the-grid cabin escape, promising spectacular ocean views and a relaxing bushland getaway. The adults-only experience is perched on the hillside of a sprawling 18-acre bush block, offering panoramic views of the Tasman Sea below. Located just outside the township of St Marys, guests are invited to indulge in the world class beaches, mountain biking tracks and wine trails native to Tasmania's gorgeous east coast.

If you aren't familiar with St Marys, it is a small town, nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of northeastern Tasmania about a one and half hour drive from Launceston. It exudes a quaint charm and rich history that captivates visitors from near and far and is renowned for its vibrant arts community, with small galleries showcasing the local talent and creativity of the small community. Guests to Candlebark Ridge can explore historic buildings, charming cafes, and boutique shops of St Marys, immersing themselves in the town's unique character and warm hospitality. Alternatively, they also have the option to purchase gourmet local produce on the way in and bunker down in the cabin and immerse themselves in the surrounding rolling hills and lush bushland.

The tiny home, constructed by local home builders Red Verandah Design, is eco-friendly and fully off-grid, making it the perfect retreat for those in need of a little quiet time. Constructed primarily of locally sourced materials and powered by energy-efficient appliances, guests can feel confident in knowing their holiday is gentle on the environment and surrounding native bushland. As well the cabin is powered by a standalone solar trailer and comes complete with rainwater harvesting systems and grey water recycling systems.

The design brief for the unique escape was "off-grid tiny home meets mid-century bush cabin", and Candlebark Ridge certainly delivers. A tranquil green palette is woven throughout the home, promoting relaxation and harmony with the surrounding environments. Warm timber tones and mid-century furnishings create a soft and cosy interior for guests to wind down. A large picture window over the king bed platform frames dazzling views of the endless expanse of ocean, as well as the rolling hills of the neighbouring farm.
