The family-owned luxury goods retailer Kartell was founded by Giulio Castelli in 1949 and later acquired by his son-in-law, Claudio Luti. This acquisition marked a new chapter for the brand, infusing the classic 'Made in Italy' label with innovative collaborations, eventually leading to Kartell's distinctive signature style. Embracing a fresh approach to materials and design, the brand partnered with renowned architects and designers, including Philippe Starck, Ron Arad, Antonio Citterio, and Ferruccio Laviania.
Kartell Perth launched as a ‘Store within a Store’ concept in Claremont, Western Australia, in 2021. The idea offers an exclusive collection of designs and industrial products embodying a richness of culture in combination with technology and an emphasis on sustainability. With its Premium Outdoor Collection 2024, Kartell continues to focus on quality and durability designed for all Australian climates.
To further develop and redefine its collections, Kartell has introduced high-performance materials such as polycarbonate in the production of furniture and homewares. The Kartell Perth Outdoor Collection is showcased inside the Trilogy Furniture showroom. Each design embodies the essentials of Italian craftsmanship while highlighting Kartell's distinct design signature. The collection aspires to a minimalist approach with original forms and a contemporary flair, combining beautiful materials with meticulous attention to detail.
'Hiray' presents slimline, galvanised, painted metal furniture lines, including chairs, a bistro table, a bar table, a coffee table, and sofas with co-ordinated upholstery. Chair pads in heat-formed polyurethane upholstered in water-repellent recycled fabric are available. This collection ranges from colorful hues like sage green or brick red to a more monochrome palette with white or black style finishes.
The 'Cara Outdoor Armchairs' showcase a classical approach to clean, rigorous lines, combined with sumptuous premium outdoor fabrics. These chairs feature removable covers for easy maintenance and added practicality.
The 'Bubble Club' collection includes an industrial outdoor sofa, coordinated armchairs, and side tables. Inspired by the nostalgia of "grandma's sofa," this outdoor setting embraces a bolder design approach, with colour options ranging from dusty pink to green to black. The materials are chosen to be functional, easily maintained, and to withstand Australian outdoor conditions.
The outdoor dining table 'Four Outdoor' is characterised by its straight lines and refined by galvanised steel and epoxy polyester coating. Its minimalistic appearance allows it to pair with various outdoor dining chairs, like the 'Masters Chair' and the 'A.I. Chair'. Both are injection moulded and made from recyclable materials, embodying quality durability and Kartell's signature aesthetics.
Completed by a selection of richly coloured tableware, Kartell introduces the 'Jellies' collection. This selection includes transparent plates, trays, glasses, bowls, carafes, coffee cups, and sugar bowls, all crafted from durable polycarbonate.
