Since its opening in early 2023, Basalt Luxury Accommodation has quickly become a favourite among guests visiting the regional NSW wine region of Orange. The three architecturally designed studios by Cameron Anderson Architects offer an unmatched luxury experience in the heart of country NSW.
Situated 1,100 meters above sea level, each studio features breathtaking 180-degree views of the Orange Region, providing an extraordinary way to experience a Central West sunrise. Named after the rich volcanic soil beneath it, Basalt sits on land home to over 12,000 cherry trees. The Rollin family, who acquired the property in 1979, have since transformed it into one of the largest cherry orchards in the district. South Drawn is a Melbourne-based studio specialising in high-end lighting design and manufacturing, renowned for its innovative and creative approach. The studio takes inspiration from unconventional sources, embracing an adventurous exploration of materials and fabrication techniques. This spirit of discovery is evident throughout the design process, ensuring each piece is meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of design excellence.
Founded by brothers Luke and Christian Mills, South Drawn embodies their shared love of adventure and the outdoors. Originally from Nelson, New Zealand, the duo brings a unique perspective to their work. We have recently featured their Point Five Wall Sconce in our Sustainability Month which are locally made in Melbourne from recycled glass.
