Australia’s renowned furniture brand, Kave Home, began as a distributor in Girona, Spain, founded in 1984 by Frances Juliá. Then known as Juliá Group, the brand quickly expanded nationally. Rebranded in 2013, Kave Home has evolved into a global presence, over the past four decades, now reaching 80 countries across the world from its Mediterranean roots.
Introducing the Summer Premium Outdoor Collection for September 2024, Kave Home captures the essence of 'al fresco' living—an Italian phrase meaning "in the fresh air," synonymous with relaxed outdoor dining. This collection embodies the Mediterranean spirit of enjoying meals outdoors, thoughtfully integrating natural materials and refined craftsmanship. The collection was thoughtfully crafted by the Kave Home design team in collaboration with internationally recognised studios, including the Valencia-based furniture designers Made Studio, representing a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation.
In 2020, Kave Home Australia launched the Kave Cares sustainability project to protect the planet and support its people, while holding themselves accountable as a brand. Today, the program incorporates around 600 products as part of their sustainable range within Australia, demonstrating a their commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability.
Their Premium Outdoor Collection was created in alignment with these principles, prioritising environmental responsibility while thoughtfully embodying the company’s values of designing with certified natural materials. A core element of the collection is Premium Outdoor-grade teak, which features a 100% FSC chain-of-custody certification and is sourced from responsibly managed and sustainable forests. This material is utilised across each of the three collections, demonstrating its versatility while thoughtfully adding a sense of unity to the different ensembles.
The Icaro Collection features dining elements, including chairs and tables, inspired by Japanese architecture and contemporary design, suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Crafted from solid teak treated with a light water-based stain, the stackable dining chairs and tables showcase a natural finish, highlighting the wood's inherent beauty through simplicity.
Inspired by Japanese architectural principles, the Tirant ensemble features a 3-seat sofa, armchair, coffee table, and side table, all crafted from teak wood. Each piece aims to capture the essence of tranquility and relaxation through simple yet captivating shapes.
Designed exclusively for Kave Home by the renowned Made Studio, the Turquetta series features a 3-seat sofa, armchair, two coffee tables, an extendable table, chair, and sun lounger, all suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With a solid teak wood structure and flat panels, the series showcases thoughtfully proportioned curves and expertly assembled textiles, conveying a sense of delicate robustness.
