Saru Design endeavours to combat 'cookie-cutter', one-size-fits-all responses to design problems, instead offering personalised, collaborative solutions across the interiors, retail and commercial sectors. With a focus that extends to furniture and product design, they work creatively alongside their clients, ensuring outcomes that meet both current and future requirements.

As an agile and cross-discipline designs studio, Saru are focused on creating spaces that carry lasting value, representing their passion for longevity, flexibility and sustainability, and general avoidance of short-lived trends. The studio's holistic approach is representative of their key values - inclusivity, equality, functionality, sustainability, social awareness, and carbon neutrality - which dictate each and every design decision, as the practice educates their clients throughout the process.

The studio is currently developing a workplace and interior project with a local architect, that aims to extend their vision for creating design that is enduring and community focused. Their work is characterised by a fusion if privacy and collaboration, as they creatively partner with clients to deliver design solutions that meet both current and future requirements.

By closely engaging with clients, Saru ensures that their work meets emotional, functional, technological, cultural and future needs. The practice sees their role as being responsible for interpreting and pushing the requirements of human needs and behaviour, to form a strong design strategy. Simply put, their work is centered around human need and behaviours, and they understand the important of considering all design elements - from interiors, furnishings and finishes to joinery and architecture - to create a cohesive solution. These elements are considered alongside place, environment and community for a solution that is well-rounded.
